Our story
Brightflow is a French medtech company founded in 2020 by Pr. Pascal Lim, a cardiologist and the founder of Tricares, a pioneer in percutaneous treatments for functional tricuspid regurgitation. Recognizing that addressing tricuspid regurgitation alone is often insufficient to reverse right ventricular (RV) dysfunction in most patients, Pr. Lim launched Brightflow to develop solutions for this critical unmet need.
Based in the heart of Paris, Brightflow employs a team of 30 full-time engineers. Our device is designed and manufactured following ISO 13485 standards. The company has reached key development milestones, such as validating implantation procedures in both animal and cadaveric models, as well as successfully completing hemolysis and thrombosis testing in chronic animal studies. As we finalize the electronic device, we are preparing to initiate first-in-human trials.
Since the beginning, we have built a team of exceptional doctors and engineers, selected for their outstanding expertise in medical expertise, electronics, mechanics, medtech, proven achievements, and unwavering dedication. This multidisciplinary group, combining complementary skills, collaborates daily to develop and manufacture an innovative, percutaneous, durable, and minimally invasive device that represents a true breakthrough in its field.
With over 20 years of clinical experience and 10+ years in MedTech, Pascal is a cardiology professor and an expert in right heart failure. As the founder of Tricares, he successfully led the company to clinical trials and raised $50 million for regulatory approvals. Pascal’s leadership, combining medical expertise and strategic vision, is driving Brightflow’s accelerated development.

His expertise ensures a seamless transition from R&D to production, optimizing timelines and meeting rigorous quality standards.
